LEADING EXPERTS FROM ACROSS THE SUPPLY CHAIN TO PARTICIPATE AT PVC FORMULATION 2021 CONFERENCE

AMI, leading provider of market intelligence and events for the global plastics industry, has recently released the programme for PVC Formulation. This conference takes place in-person on 16 -18 November 2021 at the NH Collection Cologne Mediapark Hotel, Cologne, Germany. This is the thirteenth time the conference has been held in Europe, which is now well established as an important meeting place for the international industry.

This three-day event offers attendees the chance to discover the latest global trends and technical innovations in PVC to optimise and add value to formulations for both rigid and flexible applications.

Key presentations include:

  • “PVC stabilizers: world-wide availability and reshaping of production logistics” presented by Dr Ettore Nanni, EO at REAGENS
  • Sustainability – the new regular: Challenges and opportunities for the vinyl industry” presented by Thomas Hülsmann, Managing Director of VINYLPLUS DEUTSCHLAND
  • “New lubricating acrylic processing aids” presented by Dr. Harald Braun, Technical Director at KANEKA
  • “Addressing new demands for antimicrobial protection and hygiene function in flexible PVC” presented by Christine Niklas, Product Manager at SANITIZED

The past year has been one of disruption to supply chains, industry demand and working patterns. In addition to this, upcoming regulatory changes and the global challenge of plastics sustainability means the PVC industry is evolving in a changing world. There was never more reason to attend the only annual conference focussed on technical PVC developments including formulations, compounding and industry trends.

This year’s programme features presentations from high-level experts from across Europe and beyond, including the latest developments in both tin and calcium stabilisers and quality control from representatives from IKA GROUP, PMC ORGANOMETALLIX and HMS CONCEPT. Explore the developing trend of bio-based plasticisers that offer green alternatives from HALLSTAR, VARTECO QUIMICA IBERICA and VALTRIS SPECIALITY CHEMICALS as well as challenges to indoor applications due to plasticiser volatility from EVONIK. This year the conference also looks at the various functionality additives can provide to PVC with a session looking at novel additives such as NBR powders from ARLANXEO, formulations for hygiene from SANITIZED and smoke acidity for cable applications from PVC4CABLES.

In addition, participants can join the conversation and discuss the latest challenges and opportunities in PVC sustainability with our panel discussion, where questions to our expert panellists from BASF, BEAULIEU INTERNATIONAL GROUP, EASTMAN CHEMICAL COMPANY and PVCMED ALLIANCE are welcomed. More panellists to be confirmed.

AMI’s PVC Formulation 2021 Conference offers extensive opportunities to meet old friends and make new connections from across the PVC supply chain. In addition to technical presentations, the event includes networking time throughout the day and evening, as well as a busy exhibition area. Bringing together key representatives and an international audience of like-minded professionals and industry experts, this conference is a must-attend event for anyone wishing to gain valuable insight into the latest advances in PVC formulations and business trends.
